NCL Bliss LA to Vancouver 4/19-4/24, 2026 – Freestyle Daily Recap

Embarkation day on the Bliss was exactly what you’d expect—busy, a little chaotic, but a lot of fun once everything gets going.

We focused on knocking out the important stuff first (muster, schedule, reservations), which made the rest of the day way more relaxed. The ship really starts to come alive early afternoon, especially around the pool deck.

The Sail Away Celebration at 4:00 PM set the tone—live music, drinks flowing, and that “we’re finally on vacation” feeling.

From there, it turned into a classic Bliss night:

• Multiple shows running at the same time (Beatles, comedy, live music)
• Strong energy in the Atrium and Cavern Club
• Plenty of late-night options if you want to keep going

Big takeaway: there’s way more happening than you can do, even on Day 1. Having a plan (or at least priorities) makes a big difference.

Day 1 Schedule

Sea Days on the Norwegian Bliss is where the ship really shows what it can do—and Day 2 was packed from start to finish.

The morning had a slower, build-your-own pace with a mix of trivia, fitness classes, dance lessons, and behind-the-scenes sessions like How to Run a Cruise Ship. There were also plenty of seminars and paid activities (spa talks, bingo, tastings), which is pretty typical on sea days. Easy to participate in—or just as easy to skip if you’d rather grab coffee and relax.

By the afternoon, things picked up quite a bit. The Atrium became the hub of activity, with game shows like Deal or No Deal, Link & Don’t Blink, and trivia running throughout the day. The pool deck had live music and a more energetic vibe, while tastings (beer, wine, mojito) and casino tournaments filled in the rest of the schedule.

The evening is where the Bliss really stood out.

• The Choir of Man is the headline show and absolutely worth planning around
• The Beatles Experience in the Cavern Club offers a much smaller, more intimate venue
• Comedy shows ran both family-friendly and 18+ versions
• Plenty of live music across the ship (Atrium, District Brew House, Observation Lounge)
• Late-night options included karaoke, nightclub, and the Glow Party

One of the biggest takeaways from this day:
There is a lot of overlap, and you won’t be able to do everything.

This is exactly why grabbing the weekly schedule early makes such a difference—you can map out your must-do shows and build everything else around them instead of missing out.

Another full sea day on the Bliss, and this one really showed how much variety you get onboard when you’re not in port. From the start of the morning through late night, there was something happening in almost every venue on the ship.

The morning leaned toward lighter, low-key activities and enrichment—fitness classes, trivia, a Teppanyaki cooking demo, and even an escape room-style game. It’s the kind of morning where you can stay busy, but nothing feels rushed if you just want to ease into the day.

By the afternoon, things picked up quite a bit. Live music started rolling in, the pool deck turned into more of a party atmosphere with DJ Jeph, and there were plenty of interactive events like Deal or No Deal, dance classes, tastings, and trivia. This is where the day really starts to feel like you need to make choices, because there’s no way to do everything.

The evening is where the Bliss really shines. You’ve got multiple headline entertainment options all at the same time—Magic of the Mind with Cody Fisher, The Beatles Experience, and adult comedy—plus nonstop live music across several venues. Then everything builds into the late-night energy with the 80’s party, karaoke, and the nightclub.

Overall, this felt like one of the most balanced days of the cruise—something for every type of traveler, whether you wanted a relaxing day, interactive fun, or a full night out.

Day 4 had a very different feel compared to the earlier sea days, with a late arrival into Victoria at 12:00 pm and an overnight stay. That shift meant the morning still felt like a typical cruise day with plenty going on, but the afternoon and evening turned into more of a choose-your-own-adventure between exploring port and enjoying the ship.

The morning leaned heavily into the usual mix of trivia, games, and light activities in the Atrium, along with fitness classes and a few craft-style events like origami and cupcake decorating. It’s the kind of lineup that makes it easy to stay busy without overplanning.

Once the ship arrived in Victoria, things naturally slowed down onboard as many people headed off the ship. For those staying on, the afternoon still had a steady flow of trivia, games, and spa seminars, plus some live music starting to pick up later in the day.

The evening brought the ship back to life with a strong entertainment lineup. The headliner was The Beatles Experience: All the Hits, which is one of the more popular shows on the Bliss, along with Adult Comedy Night later on. Around the ship, there was no shortage of options—live music in multiple venues, trivia, dancing, and plenty of late-night energy with karaoke and club-style events.

Overall, this was a really nice balance of port time + classic onboard fun, especially with the flexibility of staying overnight in Victoria instead of feeling rushed.

This was Vancouver arrival day, with the ship docking at 6:30 PM and staying overnight—which gave the day a very different feel than a typical sea day or port morning.

The daytime schedule leaned heavily into final sea day energy: trivia, games, spa seminars, live music, and pool deck activities, plus one last round of big shows like ICONS: The Bands.

You could tell it was winding down toward the end of the cruise with things like:

• Future Cruise presentation (CruiseNext)
• Professional portraits
• Farewell karaoke and teen party
• A full lineup of evening parties and nightlife

The evening really turned into a “last night onboard” vibe, with multiple music venues going at once, game shows in the Atrium, and late-night clubbing.

Also worth noting:

• Casino was closed during the day (port regulations)
• Outdoor activities were limited a bit with cool Vancouver weather (52°F)
• But indoor venues like the Observation Lounge, Atrium, and Cavern Club were packed with options all day
